Hot shrubs
These
beauties will take your landscape from
ho-hum to WOW! Try them this year
and you won't be sorry.
Oakleaf Hydrangea 'Alice'
This large, coarsely textured
shrub will grow to 8-10' tall. It
blooms in early summer and the panicles
can be up to a foot long! The
foliage turns a deep burgundy in the
fall. Plant in partial sun.
Crape
Myrtle
Traditionally thought of as a southern
plant (sometimes tree down South), many
varieties of this genera do quite well
here in the St. Louis area. We
stock several varieties in both the
standard and the dwarf forms. Look
for Crape flowers in mid- to
late-summer. They perform best
when planted in full sun.
