Bradfield Organics new 5# line comes to Rolling Ridge Nursery.  Bradfield Organics is a local St. Louis Company that specializes in organic fertilizers for lawn and garden.  We have proudly carried Bradfield Organic products for the last few years, and are pleased that the line has now expanded with a complete selection of 5# bags for various garden uses:
"Acid Adoring" for azaleas, rhododendrons, hollies, etc.
"All Purpose" for general garden feeding.
"Riveting Roses" for roses and other flowering shrubs.
"Tasty Tomato & Veggie" for your vegetable garden.
"Kelp Meal" for adding potassium and other soil ammendments.

NutraSoft Gypsum is a great product for both your lawn and garden.  Gypsum has many uses:

1. It helps to loosen heavy clay soil by making round particles out of flat, brick-like particles.

2. Gypsum is great to counteract road salt damage to lawn and gardens.

3. Gypsum can reduce pet damage to lawns.

4. Gypsum is a great source of calcium and sulpher that does not change soil pH.

Spread Gypsum on lawns at the rate of 40-80#/1,000sq.ft. and on gardens at the rate of 10-20#/100sq.ft.

Soil Moist Mats.  For years, we've been carrying Soil Moist Crystals, which when added to your potting mix reduce the need for constant watering in containers.  For 2008, Soil Moist introduces Soil Moist Mats to help with watering problems.  For hanging baskets and containers, place the "Soil Moist Mat for Hanging Baskets, Planters, & Containers" in the bottom of your basket or container, then water, and plant the container as usual.  When going out of town, simply water the "Soil Moist Mat Vacation Watering" and place your potted plants on the mat -- the plants will be slowly watered for 2 to 3 weeks!
