Buttonbush
A large native shrub, with white orb shaped flowers in the late spring and lightly fragrant. Can be pruned to maintain a tidier look.
The specimen plant in the photos is right here in Webster Groves, in a dry area, although it's natural state is in a wet area,; on the borders of lakes, river and ponds - it works equally well in both conditions!
